Recovery Orient Yourself - Consulting

1) Addictions program development and design. With 40 years of experience we can design new programming from the ground up or review and suggest improvements for existing programs.

2) Strategic planning for not-for-profit agencies. Regardless of the size of the agency Strategic planning and forecasting trends has never been more important. Funding, policies, National health insurance and many other factors will challenge and offer opportunities to the prepared organization. An externally led Strategic Plan can help to define mission, threats, opportunities and values to propel your agency to a more prosperous future. These services are generic and can be helpful to all not-for-profits regardless of areas of interest.

3) Policy and procedure development and review for Carf or other accreditation or general program improvement. These services are also generic in nature and provide an outside look at the dreaded policy and procedures manuals based on the specific focus of your organizations. Program improvement, quality improvement, system improvement, reductions of paperwork, reduced wait lists; improved production and outcome all are based in the policy and procedure development arena. Let a practical and experienced professional assist in your agencies development.

4) How to start a halfway house or other residential services. Many locales have interested persons in recovery or family members that want to start a half-way house; others may want to initiate a short-term stabilization program. We can help. You may need to deal with (not in my back yard issues), zoning, fire marshals, state regulations, health regulations. We have been there more than once and even helped achieve a settlement for a city in a housing discrimination case.

5) Establishing cost effective collaborations and cooperative agreements. Many services and solutions are waiting to be found and developed. With forty years of experience operating not-for-profit organizations we have developed an eye for discovering and implementing agreements that allow for and enhance available resources to maximize the opportunities for all involved. What are your needs, can you outsource, should you duplicate, and can you encourage another organization to fill the void. No agency can be all things to all people, let us help you identify and operationalize new and better inter-agency agreements.

6) Grant Writing. We have written successful grants in the behavioral health and addictions field at all levels of government and foundations, including; HUD, SAMHSA, State Government, Counties, Cities, Community Foundations, Corporate Foundations, Corporate business donors, United funds, and faith based organizations. Behavioral Health, Addictions, Duel Diagnosis, Re-Entry, Criminal Justice, AOTD prevention are all areas of expertise that are available.
